About DPS Gurgaon

DPS Gurgaon was established in 2002 in the memory of Smt. Mala Jaipuria with an aim to provide value-based education. It firmly believes in its motto ‘Service Before Self’ and wants to work for the betterment of society. The school has a campus area of 6.3 acres and has a lot of facilities for its students. The school has a healthy student-teacher ratio of 20:1 and every student can understand what’s being taught in the class in a better way. It follows the curriculum of CBSE, offers 4 foreign languages i.e German, Spanish, French, and Japanese, and offers a total of 20 subjects in senior school. The infrastructure of the school is divided into 4 categories primary school, junior school, middle school, and secondary school. 

The Director Principal of the school, Ms. Aditi Misra is determined to quest excellence by following the motto of the school.

It has four community outreach programs Muskaan twinning, Joy of Giving, Team Siksha Kendra, and Pravha, and are aimed toward bringing a change to society. DPS Gurgaon wants to teach its students about different cultures and give global-level education and for that, it has around 19 global links. Italy dance festival, UNESCO International Festival, NASA Space school program, Utopia MUN, Indo Polish exchange program are some of them.

Along with that it also wants to teach values to its students so that they can grow up into wholesome human beings and bring a change to society. Teaching students what is written in the books is not the only aim of DPS Gurgaon, it is determined toward the holistic development of its students and offers a lot of extracurricular activities for the same. The school has a house system and different competitions are organized from time to time so that the students can get a break from their academic life. The school has around 18 clubs like Intach for culture and heritage, TedX for technology and entertainment, Kaizen for the love of commerce, Node for graphic designing and software development, and many other activities like this. 

In terms of sports, it has facilities for yoga, basketball, cricket, football, and many other indoor and outdoor sports. The school also organizes sports day every year so that students can indulge in different sports. MUN and various other leadership programs are also part of the school curriculum.
