Specifications & Sample Questions

The Inter School Quiz Competition will be held virtually on an interactive platform. Registration will be totally free of cost for all the participants. The Questions will be specifically based around and related to Courses and Career options with increased level of difficulty from Preliminary rounds to Final rounds.

Category #1
Junior Category 5th to 8th standard

In this period, children are exposed to different careers and some might even want to know what they should study to enter into these careers. Some of them who aspire to be doctors and engineers might even begin preparations for JEE or NEET. For this batch of children, the questions would primarily focus on careers and their uniqueness.

What to explore in this category:
  • Names and meanings of professions
  • Qualifications needed to practice a profession
  • Unique attributes of a job or a profession
  • Difference between crafts/ vocational/ professional jobs
  • Unique attributes of a profession

Senior Category 9th to 12th standard

Here children would move beyond general curiosity and might be forced to at least decide on their preferences in terms of groups ( PCB/PCM/commerce and humanities), they might also begin researching colleges/courses as well.

Quiz Format

Competition will be held for 2 Categories:

  • Junior Category - Comprising of students from Class 5-8
  • Senior Category - Comprising of students from Class 9 -12
  1. There is no limit on the numbers of participation for each category from a school
  2. Each School will compete under the Delhi NCR and Maharashtra Zone for the Zonal Championship.
  3. Each team must have a Teacher Mentor assigned to them and the same will be recorded during the registration process.
  4. One Student can be part of 1 team only

Team Related

There is no limit on the number of teams from a particular school. The team will Consist of an individual or 2 participants from the same category. Each team must have a Teacher Mentor assigned to them and the same will be recorded during the registration process.
No, the team will consist of an individual or 2 participants from the same school and for the same category. The Winning individual or team’s School will be awarded as Champion School.

No. Only School teachers are allowed to be a mentor.
The aim of having a mentor teacher is to guide and help students in preparing this Quiz competition. Teachers will not be participating nor invigilating the students during the competition. Mentor teachers of winning individuals/teams will be awarded too.

  1. Winning team of Junior Category & Senior Category of Delhi NCR and Maharashtra to get a cash reward of Rs. 25000/- each
  2. 1st Runner up & 2nd Runner up will get a cash reward of Rs. 10000 and Rs. 5000.
  3. Certificates, prizes & goodies for Zonal Winners
  4. Badges of recognition on the microsite and social media platforms
  5. 1-to-1 Interview video shoot of Zonal category Winners participants, Teacher Mentor and their Principals.
  6. Zonal category Winners to be featured on digital and print platforms along with their School Logos.

Yes, Mentor teacher needs to be from the same school of participants.
Preliminary rounds will be held in batches throughout the day. So the students will have the option to join as per their preferred time slot.
This is rare as the scores will be calculated on the basis of 2 combinations i.e. A correct answer and the time taken to give the answer. The individual/team who gives the right answer in the quickest time will get the highest marks.
